![]() I tried to activate both machines again, but I'm unable to activate them (no reason: Windows just says it cannot be activated). ![]() They keys I used to activate Windows 7 are legitimate keys, and they have worked for years. ![]() When I perform these steps again, they no longer work. Back then I was told to run the following commands in order to restore the OS to it's normal state: wusa /uninstall /kb:971033 /quietĭel %windir%\system32\7B296FB0-376B-497e-B012-9C450E1B7327-5P-0.C7483456-A289-439d-8115-601632D005A0 /ahĭel %windir%\system32\7B296FB0-376B-497e-B012-9C450E1B7327-5P-1.C7483456-A289-439d-8115-601632D005A0 /ahĭel %windir%\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SoftwareProtectionPlatform\tokens.datĭel %windir%\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SoftwareProtectionPlatform\cache\cache.datĬscript %windir%\system32\slmgr.vbs /ipk Īfter performing the steps above, everything worked fine until I recently got the message again. I have a Dell machine as well as a virtual machine both running Windows 7, which gave the error message "This copy of Windows 7 is not genuine" about a year or so ago.
